A virtual island in Second Life virtual world.
Adobe Connect (AC) classroom on the Internet will be used in addition. Students should have access to a computer with an Internet connection as well as a headset and a valid e-mail address.

Sisältö

Course content:

The course will take place on a virtual island, where the participants act as a group using Finnish language. At the same time they practice oral communication skills in Finnish using also preprepared conversational exercises. The aim of the course is to efficiently activate the oral language skills of the students and improve their readiness for communication. At the same time the participants will get to know Second Life as a means of learning a language. After the course the students are free to continue meeting each other informally in the course environment with no charge.

Kurssipaikkana on virtuaalinen saari, jossa osallistujat toimivat ryhmänä suomen kielellä. Samalla he harjoittelevat suullista kommunikointia suomeksi myös ennalta valmisteltujen keskusteluharjoitusten avulla. Kurssin tarkoituksena on aktivoida tehokkaasti opiskelijoiden suullista kielitaitoa ja kehittää heidän kommunikointivalmiuksiaan. Samalla osallistujat tutustuvat Second Lifeen kielenoppimisen välineenä. Kurssin jälkeen opiskelijat voivat halutessaan maksutta jatkaa itsenäisesti vapaamuotoisia tapaamisia kurssiympäristössä.

Notice! The number of participants is limited. It is obligatory to participate the first lesson on the 20^th of January. In case of absence you are to inform the teacher beforehand. Otherwise your place on the course will be given to the next student on the waiting list.

Huomio! Kurssilla on rajoitettu osallistujamäärä. Osallistuminen ensimmäiselle luennolle 20.1. on pakollista. Jos joudut olemaan poissa, ilmoita asiasta opettajalle etukäteen. Muussa tapauksessa kurssipaikkasi annetaa seuraavalle jonotuslistalla olevalle.
